Reading a book by J.R. Miller, Skyscrapers Hide the Heavens: A History of Indian-White Relations in Canada, and it mentions the moving of the Membertou reserve in 1916. I was trying to find out where it was originally located and where it was moved to. Wikipedia says from Kings Rd. Was it near the Park? Great book, although it is depressing to read of the autrosities conmitted against the aboriginal peoples of this nation, and Miller doesn''t even mention the distribution of disease infested blankets or the bounties.
