Job Title: Lane Attendant 
Department: Lanes at Membertou Bowling Alley
Reports to: General Manager

The Lane Attendant position is an essential role in our facility at Lanes, delivering high quality service to our guests by maintaining facility operations, cleanliness and creating an immaculate in-venue experience. Lane Attendants keep our innovative bowling lounges in tip-top shape, with a primary role of tending to the technology of our lanes, and lane systems. Training in this area will be provided for successful candidates. Lane Attendants will also be responsible for maintenance of the entire Lanes at Membertou facility. Our clients expect an outstanding bowling experience when they visit us and our Lane Attendants, as “jack-of-all-trades” team members, do what it takes to ensure that a stunning and functional venue is at the forefront of that experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing expertise in bowling system technology used at facility.
  • Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of sixteen bowling lanes.
  • Ensuring a clean, functional, space for all customers.
  • Working with staff to set up/tear down events and parties at facility.
  • Promptly and efficiently identifying, communicating and resolving maintenance issues.
  • Overall maintenance duties for facility.
  • Providing support to General Manager and Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Ensuring positive customer experience.
  • Complies with Band Personnel Policy.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Membertou’s Internal and External Customers, ensuring transactions or information received on behalf of the Band and/or its members are kept confidential.
  • Maintain and improve Membertou’s Quality Management System as it relates to job related duties and/or department.
  • Any other related duties as required by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience or knowledge in systems management considered an asset.
  • Experience or knowledge in electrical considered an asset.
  • Maintenance experience required.
  • Must have solid decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Must have strong verbal communications skills, as working with all staff members will be crucial to the role.
  • Working flexible hours, including evening and weekends.
  • Preference given to Aboriginal peoples in accordance with the Aboriginal Employment Preferences Policy of the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

Job Title: Customer Relations & Events Supervisor (Full-time Permanent Position)
Department: Lanes at Membertou Bowling Alley
Reports to: General Manager

The Customer Relations & Event Supervisor for Lanes at Membertou is responsible for creating a top-notch guest experience for bowlers and diners alike.  They will be actively responsible for working with customers to arrange leagues, theme nights, parties, events.  The Supervisor will also work to proactively reach out to potential new customers to experience the facility, while managing the needs of existing customers.  They will provide customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick, efficient, accurate and safe assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of daily bookings, customer needs, promotions, lane assignment, and weekly / monthly events.
  • Providing support to General Manager in creating weekly and monthly schedules for staff.
  • Working closely with Membertou marketing team to create events & promotions to suit customer needs.
  • Working flexible hours, including evening and weekends.
  • Proactively supporting promotional activity within the facility and contribute to an effective working environment.
  • Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by General Manager.
  • Complies with Band Personnel Policy.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Membertou’s Internal and External Customers, ensuring transactions or information received on behalf of the Band and/or its members are kept confidential.

Supervisor Overview

The Customer Relations & Event Supervisor for Lanes at Membertou is responsible for creating a top-notch guest experience for bowlers and diners alike. They will be actively responsible for working with customers to arrange leagues, theme nights, parties, events. The Supervisor will also work to proactively reach out to potential new customers to experience the facility, while managing the needs of existing customers.

Theywill provide customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick, efficient, accurate and safe assistance.

Supervisor Responsibilities

· Responsible for management of daily bookings, customer needs, promotions, lane assignment, and weekly and monthly events.

· Providing support to GM in creating weekly and monthly schedules for staff

· Working closely with Membertou marketing team to create events & promotions to suit customer needs

· Working flexible hours, including evening and weekends

· Proactively supporting promotional activity within the facility and contribute to an effective working environment.

· Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by General Manager

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Diploma in Administration, Events Coordination and/or equivalent field
  • 2+ years experience in customer service and/or events management
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills supported by a positive attitude
  • Ability to plan activities, set goals, effectively manage time and work

Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in high levels of noise, dust, activity and fast-paced service.

Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, and have a high level of mobility. The employee is required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. Lifting and/or moving up to 50lbs with assistance is required.

Job Title: Tobacco Shop Supervisor
Department: Tobacco Shop
Reports To: Executive Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily inventory count for tobacco products before sales start for the day and after sales close at the end of the day.
  • Ordering tobacco products as required.
  • Selling tobacco products.
  • Strictly adhering to internal control procedures.
  • Being courteous to all customers.
  • Counting and reconciling of daily cash floats.
  • Counting and reconciling of daily cash receipts.
  • Daily reconciling cash and inventory of tobacco products.
  • Keeping area clean and tidy.
  • Train all new employees.
  • Responsible for all daily deposits.
  • Oversee and evaluate the Clerk.
  • Adhere to Membertou Policies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Membertou’s Internal and External Customers, ensuring transactions or information received on behalf of the Band and/or its members are kept confidential.
  • Maintain and improve Membertou’s Quality Management System as it relates to job related duties and/or department.
  • Other department related duties as required by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Membertou Band Member.
  • Experience dealing with the general public.
  • Experience with various computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Previous experience in inventory would be an asset.
  • Able to work with others/independently.
  • Pass a criminal record check.
  • Preference given to Aboriginal peoples in accordance with the Aboriginal Employment Preferences Policy of the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
